Labor Day Weekend:
This is one of our favorite holidays. It’s the last chance to enjoy Summer weather and get away for a few days. It’s a 3-day weekend and an opportunity to relax, unwind, and unplug from your daily duties.
This Labor Day Weekend, you can go camping, take a hike, visit a lake, go fishing, or explore nature. If you and your partner don’t have kids, you can head out for a romantic getaway and spend quality time with each other. There are so many things you can do to recharge your batteries by heading out for an adventure in your car this Labor Day Weekend.
See The Fall Colors:
Another reason this is our favorite time of year is because we get to enjoy the fall colors of the leaves changing. Some of our favorite destinations to see the fall colors are only a couple of hours from Fort Drum. Plus, the road trips we take to go see those fall colors are a marvelous way to see the region, find new favorite restaurants, and make happy memories.
Learn History Through Travel:
Another thing we love about road trips are all the historical sites. When we go on road trips, it’s fun to read the road-side placards, visit the old buildings, walk through the historic towns, and explore the local history. Teaching history through travel is a great way to enhance your education, and that is why we recommend taking road trips with your children so they can learn beyond the history books.
